The well-attended 40th “A Tribute to Black Men” “Flair and Feather” afternoon soiree was a celebration of achievement, service, and excellence.
Monarch Awards Foundation President Shannon B. Staton upheld this year's signature program's success stating, “We recognized the remarkable achievements of men across various professions but also helped raise crucial funds for our programs and scholarships that will support future leaders. It was wonderful to see our Monarch Men, outstanding youth, and supporters recognized in such a meaningful way.”
Three remarkable charitable organizations were also honored. Chicago Foundation For Women invests in women and girls as catalysts, building strong communities for all.
The mission of Muntu Dance Theatre is to preserve and perpetuate the African aesthetic and its influence on world cultures, through the education and professional presentation of dance, music and folklore. Young Ladies At All Times (YLAAT) is a non-profit organization that started in 2017 as a way to show troubled young girls better ways to navigate their emotions and offering different tactics in handling life's more challenging situations.

President Staton concluded, “The program served as a powerful reminder of the positive impact we can make in our communities. It was truly an afternoon to remember!”
