MLK Day of Service
To honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., our members lead and support community service projects, educational enrichment for teens and community engagement in the Chicago area on this national holiday.

Easter Eggstravaganza
Held during the Spring, this fun-filled family event allows families and children an opportunity to interact socially and participate in interactive and traditional games.

Community Expo featuring
the Annual Music and Arts Explosion
Our Back-to-School event celebrates children and their families by offering free school supplies, haircuts, dental exams, medical screenings, toys, clothing, games, entertainment, seminars, personal items and so much more.

Annual Community Feeding
Monarch Awards Foundation, Inc. began the Community Feeding Program in 2005 in an effort to support food insecure families in the Englewood community through a partnership with Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church. This event provides food, health screening, personal items and so much more for the Thanksgiving holiday.

"Monarch Awards Foundation Gala “A Tribute to Black Men”
In 1983, the inaugural “A Tribute to Black Men” gala honored 12 distinguished Black men for their outstanding contributions and accomplishments. Since its inception, "A Tribute to Black Men" has honored many unsung heroes who have made outstanding contributions to society through their professions, civic or community service.

Teen Esteem Program
Teen Esteem Program is a mentoring program designed to enrich the lives of high school girls. Established in 2001 to address the personal and social enhancement needs of young ladies that are not always met through their academic institutions, the Teen Esteem Program helps prepare high school girls for challenges within and beyond high school.
